What is a Peace Practitioner?
Those women, men, youth, and children who covenant together to spend their lives making peace.
Specifically, they are people recruited, trained, and supported by Hope for Peace & Justice to practice the art of peacemaking in their own community of faith. Our dream is that someday every church, synagogue, temple and mosque will have a resident peacemaker. This person will use their own unique skills, strengths, and experience as teachers, advocates, and/or activists for peace. They will help to resolve conflicts, recruit allies, facilitate studies, create prayer ministries, mobilize other activists, speak, teach, march, lead or participate in activities appropriate to themselves and their setting. Peace Practitioners move the world toward peace through their own unique humanity. Together Peace Practitioners form the world's true Hope for Peace & Justice.
