Opportunities
Volunteers
are a very important asset for all non-profits. As H4PJ grows
into a national organization championing peace and justice in
cities across the U.S., we are looking for dedicated volunteers.
The following is a list of volunteer opportunities with Hope
for Peace & Justice.
If you would like to become more active in spreading peace and
championing justice through volunteering on a regular basis,

Research Coordinator
The Research Coordinator oversees the research of national news
and events to ensure that H4PJ has a proper response to today’s
issues. This research would be used in communication with H4PJ
subscribers and highly useful in programs and campaigns. This
volunteer position requires internet and Microsoft Word experience.
2-5 hours per week is requested
Online Action Center Manager
The Online Action Center Manager works with the Research Coordinator
to provide action alerts to ensure that H4PJ is developing a
strong grassroots base. This volunteer position requires strong
internet skills. 2-5 hours per week is requested.
Website Content Manager
The Website Content Manager works with the Research Coordinator
and Online Action Center Manager to ensure the H4PJ website contains
the appropriate information to increase activism, visitors and
online donations. This volunteer position requires strong internet
and Microsoft Word skills. 1-3 hours per week is requested.
Development Assistant/Event Coordinator
The Development Assistant works with the H4PJ Development Team
to organize fundraisers for programs and campaigns, process communication
with donors and input data. The volunteer will help coordinate
upcoming events including the Silent Auction, Peace Train and
Monthly Mixers. Dallas area resident required. Microsoft Office
skills are necessary. Marketing and/or Public Relations knowledge
preferred.
Program Assistant
The Program Assistant works with Rev. Shelley Hamilton to create
and organize compelling and innovative programs of peace and
justice. Instructional design skills preferred along with compassion
for peace-making and justice through educational programs.
H4PJ Local Chapter Manager
The local chapters are to be the backbone of Hope for Peace & Justice.
The Local Chapter Manager will cultivate leaders in various communities
to develop and activate 100 chapters in 100 cities. The LCM will
work with board members and staff to schedule visits as needed
to these areas. The LCM will also be the point person for local
chapter members to voice specific issues about peace and justice
that the broader H4PJ audience should become aware.
Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant works with H4PJ staff to maintain
proper record-keeping, process inquires, and handle data-entry.
Organizational and Microsoft Office skills preferred.
