Wednesday
Loren Eisley, the famous naturalist, was walking down the beach early one summer morning. There had been violent storms the night before, and the beach was littered with sea life. Eisley came across a starfish and stooped down to examine it. A man walking by said, “It's still alive, you know.” So, Eisley picked up the starfish and sailed it out into the sea and said, “Perhaps, if the tide is strong, it will live again.”
Loren Eisley and his new friend walked along the beach for a bit, picking up starfish and flinging them back into the sea. The new friend commented that most of those who walked the beach after a storm collected specimens. That seems to be how most people walk through life, but Eisley said, “I dare to believe that somewhere there is a great Thrower of Stars who walks down the sands of time looking for those who need a chance to live again.” Blessings,
