Healthcare Issues
Healthcare
as a civil right for all, not just for the wealthy. In
the United States, health is sold to those who have the
means to buy it, or at least those who have the means to
have insurance. It is a moral issue when the wealthiest
democracy on the planet sees nothing wrong with allowing
sick men, women and children to go without healthcare,
even when it costs them their lives. What sort of people
have we become when compassion for the most vulnerable
among us is sacrificed for our own personal comfort? Hope
for Peace & Justice
advocates healthcare as a civil right for the 46 million
Americans who are living without health insurance.
